Pictures for surgeons
Usually a surgeon will ask you for pictures so he/she can be more precise in making an stimate of your sugery costs, the most accurate procedure for you, etc, here are some suggestions on how to take those pictures.
Why should I send photographs?
You have to send them because each case requires of a special processing, not all the people need the same thing and for such reason the prices cannot be standardized. Besides when a person is going to have various procedures, it is necessary to look the patient’s current status to see if is recommendable to do all procedures in the same surgery or if it is better to make procedures on separated surgeries. The photographs are used also by the surgeon who is going to make the surgical procedure to value your case and to make a budget.
How should be taken the photos?
For each case should be taken a series of photographs in some specific positions to be able to evaluate your case, the photos should be in the following way:
Liposuction – Liposculpture
- Standing with the arms extended sideways (in the shape of Christ) a front one, one of each side and another of back where the parts of the body you want to operate can be seen.
- Seated with the arms to the sides of the body a front one, one of each side and one of back. These are to observe if there is softness and surplus skin.
Rhinoplasty (Nose Surgery)
- A front one, one of each profile of the face and one with the head inclined backwards where the nasal orifices can be seen.
Mamoplasty (Breast Implants), Breast Reduction and Maxtopexy (Breast Lift)
- Standing with the arms to the sides and without bra, a front one and one of each side where your breast can be seen
Otoplasty (Ear Surgery)
- Photography of all the head (front), back, of both profiles and one of each ear.
Face Lifting (Face Surgery), Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)
